HEAD OR HEART: Will Self-Publishing your Novel Make you Money Or Cost you Money?

Posted on Posted in Business, Marketing and Publicity

Hi everyone from a sunny Hampshire.

Many thanks to everyone who entered the GiveAway for  a Romance Starter Kit. That contest has just ended and an email is on the way to the lucky winner.

As a consolation prize to the other entrants and thanks to Amazon price-matching, one of my first books on Self-Publishing is now available FREE on the major platforms.

HEAD OR HEART: Will Self-Publishing your Novel Make you Money? Or Cost you Money?

This book was the result of my intensive research into whether self-publishing my romantic suspense fiction was an economically viable option.

In the end, I opted to remain a “hybrid” author for fiction and continue to learn more about how to use self-publishing in the most effective way possible for my non-fiction work.

This eBook was published in 2014 and the world of self-publishing seems to shift and change on a daily basis, but I believe that the information is still valid and relevant.

Especially when it comes to research and pricing, and the importance of putting on your business head, when you decide on which publishing option is the best fit for your work.

  1. I bought this book a couple of years ago – excellent content.
Regarding the question this blog posts – I think it can definitely make you money. Authors who stay exclusive to Amazon with e-publishing, can make money from their book being included in the Kindle Owner Lending Library, in addition to income from book sales. Income from the library can be higher than from sales – in my experience.
