My first Christmas Card catalogue

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Okay. It is the last week in July [ which I still find hard to believe ] and the school holidays have started – but am I the only one who finds it totally scary that a charity Christmas card catalogue arrived in the post yesterday?

Christmas is in December people.

Life is so short – are we intent on making it shorter so that we are all totally fed up with Xmas before it even arrives? I understand that folks like to be organised and spread the cost but July?

Or is this a cunning plan to entertain the kidlets over the summer break by reminding them when their next school holiday will be? So you can bribe them with promises that  ‘if you watch TV quietly while mummy writes’, then mummy will ask Santa to bring you a lovely presssie?

Could be.

And in the meantime I am waiting to hear back from my editor on the revised manuscript and throwing myself deep into working through story ideas for future proposals. Story development is the fun part of the process where nothing is impossible and I feel that I am sailing on a vast ocean of options looking to a horizon for the tropical island I know is out there somewhere.
