This September, Mr Nina and I will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I would love to say that I was a child bride, but alas…. Nevertheless, we were wondering what to do, where to go, how to make it extra special.
And then I caught a newspaper article that this year the solar energy responsible for the Northern Lights is at the peak of a long 11 year cycle. That decided it. Seeing the Northern lights was somethig we both had always wanted to do. So off we go on a 12 day cruise from Bergen up to Tromso then way above the Artic circle to North Cape and Kirkenes then back again.
Fingers crossed that at least one evening in the 12 days will be clear enough for us to see the lights.
So I have my thermal gear all ready and a stack of new releases on my ebook reader. There may be photos of us husky sledding and doing brave things on ice!
