I braved the heat to venture out into London yesterday on a research trip for my new KISS Book to a couple of art galleries and decided to stray from the busy tourist area and take in the embankment along the Thames.

One of the delights of an ancient city is the total mix of architectural styles and designs.

One minute, Cleopatra’s Needle and the next – the stunning art deco design of the New Adelphi building complete with wonderful statues and carved stonework. Marvellous treat.
