After a lively and delicious lunch with my editor in Richmond I took a walk along the river – Richmond is a lovely town I will certainly make the time to revisit-
Then it was off to London for the RNA AGM and the Summer Party in the lovely Library of the Royal Institute of Mechanical Engineers just around the corner from Parliament Square.
There was fine turn out for both events and the Reading Chapter of the RNA were in splendid form, including Tania Crosse, Eileen Dickson, Julie Cohen, Claire Dyer,Vera Morris and Julie Roberts and of course Janet Gover, who was shortlisted for the Hessayon New Writers award.
It was wonderful to meet friends who share my life in the virtual world most days and raise a glass to the terrific world of romance writing.
I raise my beaker of strong coffee to Fiona Harper, Liz Fenwick, Susie Vereker, Cat Masters, Brigid Coady, Sabrina Phillips and all of the other wonderful authors to make this event and the romance community to wonderful.
Now the killer heels have been removed it is back to work for a day before packing for holiday.

And you Susie – and thank you. Still very much of a blur! Especially chatting to all of you long standing published authors! LOL
Lovely to see you, Nina. And congratulations again. Having lunch with your editor too. How smashing!
Thanks Liz and Debs – it was a great to leave the cave for once.
Thanks for the wonderful photos.
I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to make the party, it looks such great fun.
Have a good trip.
Fantastic to see you and you can promote me any time time! Thanks.
