Well we had a great time meeting up with old and new friends at my old School of Pharmacy at Sunderland University.
Except that there is certainly nothing old about the superb modern and state of the art teaching facilities in the new multimillion pound Science Complex at the University.
The staff have the same committment to the teaching – but now every student is surrounded by top technology. A pc on every desk and wall flat screens to display practical demonstrations? Oh yes. I am so envious.
I have never given a presentation at a 49,000 seater Football Stadium before but thankfully it was in one of the lovely Brasserie Function rooms and in front of friends – I had a blast and a terrific audience.
The Stadium of Light in Sunderland is the home of Sunderland Football Club.
And the overlooked the river, the upgraded docks and marina and gave a skyline view over the city. So excellent facilities, dinner and company.
Some people were kind enough to say that they liked my talk! I was taken aback by the superb and very exotic bouquet of flowers which now brighten up my breakfast table!

Oh I am sure that you would have managed something Lacey! It was a great evening. 🙂
Those flowers are gorgeous! I don’t think I could have got a word out. Congrats, Nina!
